Nico
Acevedo

Originally from Concepción, Chile, Nico Acevedo moved to the U.S. to play Division I tennis at Wichita State University in Kansas before finishing his collegiate career at Florida Atlantic University.

After graduating, Acevedo coached tennis while dabbling in pickleball. He was already known in Florida’s pickleball community for his game and potential, but it wasn’t until 2026 that he decided to pursue the sport full-time. Selected with the 25th pick in the 2026 Major League Pickleball (MLP) Draft, Acevedo was relatively unknown to the broader pickleball community. He quickly made a name for himself with impressive podium finishes on the PPA Challenger Tour and two medals at the PPA Finals 500 before emerging as a breakout star in MLP with the Miami Pickleball Club and later the Texas Ranchers.

Now, Acevedo is establishing himself as one of the top players on the pro tour, showcasing his wicked backhand flick, lightning-fast hands, and ability to deliver impressive results against top competition.
